I already owned an iPad1 when the iPad2 arrived to market, however my cellphone was a HTC EVO. Choosing the Galaxy was a no brainer because I owened an android already.
I owned an interNet business with market america that included a website that used Adobe flash content. The iPad 1 or 2 does not support flash therefore not a good choice for anyone needing 100% capability of displaying interNet websites.
The Safari browser in the Galaxy will display a mobile website as a mobile view which is one of the challenges I had with the Galaxy because it had ample space to display the full website. I fixed this by downloading the Dolphin browser that included a setting to allowed my website to display as a normal view on the Galaxy.
The screen on the galaxy is longer and supports videos in wide view better than iPad and with a higher resolution as well. Both cameras on the galaxy are of higher resolution then this on the ipad. The sound on the galaxy is played in stereo as it includes two speakers while both iPads came with a single speaker.
Finally the galaxy is lighter than the ipad though some will comment that the ipad is better because the back is metal instead of plastic. Huh? Oh I get it, you will hang the ipad on your neck like bullet proof plate over your heart.
